Skyline725 readers,
I hope residents and their caregivers will try out this new Caregiver Book Group. I am not a member the nominal Caregiver Committee; I don’t know who is with the exception of its chairperson. But any discussion of The Caregiver’s Encyclopedia holds the possibility of older adults (alternative term to senior citizens) acting together to improve their/our condition. With this caveat: Where older adults gather to talk, those who would exploit them will be too. Even savvy older adults are vulnerable to being out-maneuvered by the very industry which caters to them. Fine dining? Wine? Servants? Flowers on your tray? Cheap lures, all. What costs is good MEDICAL care. And good PERSONAL care. Let’s GO for it!
