Civic Engagement Group Meeting Notes — March 23, 2018

This is what we concluded at the Friday March 23rd Planning Meeting:

Dress for inclement weather – low to mid 40s and possible rain or snow.  Take your own consumables (water and food) as restaurants, etc. may be overloaded.

Who’s Going and When:

  1. Walk to Cal Anderson Park -Meet in 5th Floor Lobby

No one at the meeting is planning to walk to Cal Anderson Park.

  1. Bus to Cal Anderson Park – Meet in 5th Floor Lobby

At around 9:40, join Kendall and Sonia Baker in the 5th Floor Lobby in time to walk over to the # 60 bus stop at 9:45.

At around 10:40 join Wendy Schoen and others in the 5th Floor Lobby in time to walk over to the # 60 bus stop at 10:45.

  1. Join March in Progress – Meet on 1st Floor (8th Avenue), walk to Pine Street?

At 11:30, join Mary Montgomery, the Caplows, the Sakatas, the McKinneys and others in the 1st Floor Entry (8th Avenue) to walk over to join the march at 8th Avenue

  1. At 11:30 a group of residents may may want to walk over to the 9th and Jefferson stop and take the # 3 or # 4 to the Seattle Center to meet the marchers as they arrive.

Current Schedule – as far as we know at the moment:

10-11 AM: Cal Anderson Park: speakers, voter registration, announcements

11 AM: March begins (The route,  is 2.4 miles and expected to take about an hour)

12 Noon: Youth performances

12:30 PM: Special guest/more speakers (unnamed)

1:00 PM: Musical guest (unnamed)

1:50 PM: Call to action

2:00 PM: March Ends
