General Election Soapbox – PLEASE NOTE THE CORRECTED DATE

Posted on September 26, 2020 by Jim Tanner

Please plan to join our General Election Soapbox with  Moderator, Steve Ellis, and our Timer, Katherine Graubard, on

Thursday, October 15th at 2:00 p.m.

to discuss ballot issues and candidates for office.  This is your chance to share your views with your neighbors, or to hear what they have to say.

For your education and entertainment we have candidates for office from President (pick one of six options) to State Legislator (all other offices are limited to the top two finishers in the August 4th State Primary).  We have ballot issues ranging from a Referendum on Sex Education in Public Schools, a County Bond Issue, a City Sales Tax, and County Charter Amendments, including whether the Sheriff should be elected by the people or appointed by the County Executive.

A sample ballot listing offices, candidates and ballot issues is attached to this email as a PDF.

If you would like the information in the Voters Pamphlet before it arrives in the mail, you can log onto the King County Elections website at the website below. Enter your First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth and Street Address (If you use the street address just enter the building address, not your apartment number) to see an electronic version.

The Zoom link will be posted on the CareMerge Live Calendar.
Sign up for a seat in the Mount Baker Room in the Lifestyle Binder.
Questions regarding this matter should be sent to Jim at jimsanders1947@gmail.com.
