How are you shopping?

Put B. has sent along this link for comparative local grocery shopping. I think we are all having different experiences. I’ve got an order into COSTCO on Instacart but it won’t be here until Thursday.

I hope it’s more accurate that my Safeway order. Safeway was fast (within 5 hours) but weird. Three items were removed because of unavailability but the soup, the onion, and other items made it. The weird part was that it included two jars of pasta sauce and a salad mix. Actually that was great. We had a spaghetti dinner tonight!

Please share your other shopping experiences. We’re all on a learning curve.

I am hoping Skyline will be able to reinstate a pop-up grocery at least once a week for essentials. Am keeping my fingers crossed.

We placed an Instacart order from QFC on Saturday which won’t be delivered until Wednesday evening between 8 and 9 p.m. We’re hoping the delivery goes well.

We were very glad to get your recommendation of Instacart, Jim. At least the ordering part worked well. We had never heard of it and were quite frustrated having spent quite a bit of time trying other methods. Amazon told us twice – after we had filled out an order – to try later because no delivery dates were available. We tried for over an hour to order from the site of the nearest QFC but couldn’t get that ill-designed site to work.

We didn’t want to order from Stock Box because their high prices. So we planned to go to Safeway between 7 and 9 a.m. on Tuesday to avoid other customers, wearing masks and gl0ves which we would discard immediately upon getting home. But we’re really glad not to have to do that if the Instacart delivery comes through on Wednesday.
