Alice Mailloux is collecting paperback books for the woman’s shelter that is operated by SHARE / WHEEL. The shelter is at 8th and Cherry. A box is outside Alice’s door for you to leave them. If the box is not there please do not leave them.
Also looking for bakers to make a nutritious breakfast cookie. When the ladies leave there in the morning, all they get is a cup of coffee. Someone donated energy bars that I gave them and that was appreciated. They have cots for 50 but, they have been getting 57 ladies each night.
