    Since the sun on the left is dimmer, one would suspect a mirage. But that sun is 2 degrees north of the bright one, not immediately beneath it as one would expect. It’s about in the right position for a double image of sunrise. Did you try an earlier shot that perhaps overexposted the sensor grid in that spot? Lingering heat from that might have been the setup.
