    Walt Kelly’s comic character Pogo Possum, though addressing the environmental crisis of the early 1970’s, could just as aptly have commented on how those voters who failed to understand what Mr. Trump stood for in electing him for a second time, now will begin to see the beginning of their end and perhaps, God forbid, the end of our system of government having its 250 birthday next year in his ominous message, “We have met the enemy and he is us.”
